Here are the differences between ECU flashing and using a fuel controller.

Fuel Controller (power commander)

   PROS

- tuning link and AFR changes are instantaneous (we see the changes in real time)

- robust and reliable (we have only seen 1 fail in 25 years)

- any suspected issue, simply unplug it

- expandable (quick shifter, ignition module, launch control, etc. can be added)

- available for virtually every bike (the odd exception exists)

  CONS

- tunes AFR and ignition only (it can not remove restrictions, turn fan on earlier, etc.)

- power commanders are often $700+ (and you have not done anything yet)

- some newer power commanders have certain map restrictions for altering AFR

(although we know how to get around most of them)

ECU Flashing (woolich)

  PROS

- allows access to everything

(alter fan temp, ETV maps, disable decel fuel, remove restrictions, etc.)

- no hardware purchase required (unless you prefer the on-bike harness)

- expandable (quick shifter, pit lane speed, launch control can be added)

  CONS

- AFR change is not in real time

(alterations must be flashed then tested. uploads can take 5-10 minutes)

- not as reliable as power commander

(we have seen ourselves, and heard from others, the occasional flash failure)

- some older bikes not supported

Our History    - been operating a dyno since 1996 (on our 3rd one now)

                       - factory trained at dynojet HQ in Las Vegas

                       - authorized dynojet tuning centre

                       - woolich certified for ecu flashing

                       - carburetor tuning – no problem (we are old enough and grew up with carbs)

Flashing starts at $300. Depending on required BIN file. Custom tuning starts at $375. Please reach out using the contact page and we will discuss details.
